Susan (Susy) Hall BIO: I work full time for Sobeys Pharmacy and in part time I’m a Senior Consultant with Mary Kay. I’m also a hairstylist and an Instructor with Socacize Fitness.

Tell us a little about yourself:
I was born Toronto, Ontario. My parents are from the Caribbean descent. I take Spanish lessons on Saturday mornings. I’m a mother of 3 strong and smart minded children and a wife of 10 years. I try to keep myself active in the community by volunteering my assistance at church with the youth and at school as a Co-chair of School Council. I’m from a close, loving family that believes in FAMILY FIRST and has stuck by this since the passing of our beautiful mother. I love to play with make-up and hair. I enjoy making others feel good about themselves, if it is from the inside or out.

What people don’t know about me:
Is that I LOVE to cry over everything. I try to hide it most time, but sometimes get caught in the act. It an overwhelming feeling that takes control of me many, many, and many times again. DRAMA QUEEN would be the best way of describing this.

What is your inspiration and what keeps you going?
My family is what keeps me going day in and day out.
I’m also addicted to Working out, it is the only thing that can bring the good mood back from a miserable one. It is the thing that keeps me going.

How did you get to where you are now and what more should we expect?
I know God has more planned for me. I know that this is just the beginning of something big. I believe Success will find me with my Consistency to be greater that what I think I am. All I know is that where God takes me it will be love and sincere love for all people.

What would you like to be remembered for?
Not quite sure. Probably for my determination in bringing my children up in this world fearing God and loving others unconditionally.

How do you balance work, family, friends and leisure?

With my Calendar on my ipad and the calendar at home. This might sound bad, but first come first served. Usually the family wins that battle.

What's your favourite food, book, music and movie?
Favourites books are usually from Joyce Myers. I love motivational cd’s and books as well. I love Jamaican food. It warms my heart. And reminds me of my mother. I love all types of Music, but mostly reggae and soca!!!!! Movie of my life is Love and Basketball.

What's your experience as a Black person in Canada?
My experience as a Black person started off rocky. When I was in Grade one I remember having the worst teacher ever, she hated me and wanted to fail me. If it wasn’t for my mother fighting and standing up for me and having me do test to prove that she was wrong, that teacher would have won. She was a big bully.  Other than that I have learned to press on and move on. And call the haters, HATERS!!!!!
